England will be playing against USA in their second game of their group.

England started the game with a win against Iran. They thrashed Iran by six goals to two. USA started their campaign with a 1-1 draw against Wales.

England played very good game and Southgate silenced his critics for at least some time. England looked completely different compared to how they used to play. Southgate normally prefers defensive football and one of the main reason for that is the addition of Jude Bellingham. In 2020 Euro, England played their matches with two defensive midfielders (Rice and Philips) but Bellingham was preferred to Philips and Bellingham is an attacking midfielder so the game was more attacking. Fans would be happy if the team plays this way.

Maguire and Kane got injured in the opening game and they are doubtful for this game. The manager would replace Maguire easily by bringing Dier as Maguire has not played this season well but replacing Kane would be an issue and even if he is not 100 percent fit, Southgate would try to play him. The midfield would remain the same for England as Maddison has still not joined to train due to injury.

USA have some of their players playing in top clubs and I would take two players' name; Pulisic and Reyna. Pulisic is from Chelsea and Reyna from Dortmund. Yunus Musa and McKennie played last game but were not 100 percent fit and I feel they would retain their starting spot.

The last head to head meeting between the sides ended in the Three Lions easily winning by three goals to nil and it was four years back in a friendly game. Lingard, Arnold and Wilson were the scorers. My prediction for the game is England to win by more than a goal.
