Right then, let's have a proper look at this La Liga clash between Atletico Madrid and Levante. On paper, it looks like a mismatch, but sometimes these games can surprise you, can't they?
Atletico are sitting pretty in 4th place with 22 points, and their recent form has been absolutely top-notch. Seven wins in their last ten games, including some proper tasty results like that 5-2 hammering of Real Madrid and a 3-0 job against Sevilla. They're scoring goals for fun at home too - 3.33 per game in their last six at their own patch. That's some serious firepower, mate.
But here's where it gets interesting. Levante might be struggling down in 16th, but they're not completely useless on their travels. They've actually won half of their away games recently and are scoring two goals per game on the road. They put four past Girona away and two past Oviedo, so they definitely know where the goal is when they're not playing at home.
The head-to-head record is a bit of a mixed bag too. Atletico have only won two out of four home games against Levante historically, which isn't as dominant as you might expect given their league positions.
Both teams have been seeing plenty of goals recently - 60% of both sides' games have ended with both teams scoring. Atletico are averaging 2.4 goals per game overall, while Levante are netting 1.6. When you factor in that Atletico are scoring 3.33 at home and Levante are getting 2 away, you've got the recipe for a proper goal fest.
The odds make Atletico heavy favorites at 1.20, but where's the fun in that? I'm looking at the Both Teams to Score market at 2.00. Given both teams' attacking tendencies and the fact that Levante do like to have a go away from home, that looks like much better value to me.
