Listen up, let's get some meat on the bone because we aren't here for some side salad. If you want to see some real football, you look at the giants stepping on the ants. Viking are sitting pretty in 2nd place, and they're looking to keep that pressure on the top of the table. They’ve been on a tear, picking up 14 wins out of 18 matches this season, showing they have the hunger and the muscle to dominate the Eliteserien.
Sandefjord, on the other hand, are having a rough time at home. They haven't managed a single win in their last five home fixtures, which is a massive red flag for anyone looking to back them. When you look at the head-to-head history, it's not even a contest; it’s a slaughter. Viking has won 8 of the last 10 meetings, and they’ve actually won the last four in a row. They have a blueprint for how to dismantle this side, and they’re going to use it.
Viking are coming off some serious momentum, including a 2-1 win over Aalesund and a 3-1 victory against Dinamo Zagreb in the Champions League. They are clinical and consistent. Meanwhile, Sandefjord is struggling to find any rhythm in front of their own fans, averaging a measly 0.60 goals per game at home. They’re reeling from a 0-0 draw against Brann and a loss to KFUM Oslo, showing a lack of offensive spark.
The stats don't lie. Viking's away goal expectancy is solid, while Sandefjord's home goal expectancy is a low 0.80. We saw Viking take it 2-1 in the last encounter, and they’re looking to do it again. With Viking's offensive power and Sandefjord's inability to secure home points, the smart money is on the visitors taking all three. It’s time to put some meat on the bone and back the visitors to take this one.
