Right then, lads. We’re heading to Iceland for a cracking 2. Deild clash between Kári and Selfoss. Both sides are sitting pretty on 11 points after six games, but Kári are the ones hosting, and let me tell you, their home ground is turning into a goal factory. In their last four home matches, Kári have won three and drawn one, pumping in an average of 3.25 goals while keeping a defensive line that only concedes 0.50 goals per game. Their scoring trend is climbing, and they’re looking sharp, with a 60% win rate across their last ten outings.
Selfoss, meanwhile, are the visitors sitting in third, also on 11 points. They’ve got a solid away record, winning 40% of their road games and drawing 40%, while scoring 2.00 goals on the road. But here’s the rub: Selfoss have been Kári’s absolute bogey team. In their last five meetings, Selfoss have won every single one, including a 3-1 thrashing in the most recent encounter. The H2H is littered with goals, with Over 2.5 Goals landing in three of the last five clashes. Kári have actually struggled to break down Selfoss historically, scoring just 0.80 goals per game in this fixture on average, but that’s because Selfoss have been clinical.
When you crunch the numbers, the goal expectancy sits at a healthy 3.58. Kári at home are averaging 3.75 total goals per game, and Selfoss bring an average of 3.40 total goals away from home. The maths are screaming for an open game. Kári’s recent results show a mix of high-scoring draws and emphatic wins, like a 6-0 demolition of Dalvík / Reynir and a 4-3 thriller against Vikingur Olafsiik. Selfoss aren’t far behind, with a 3-2 win over Fjolnir and a 3-1 victory over Vikingur Olafsiik in their last five. Both teams are finding the net regularly, and neither side is playing for a cagey 0-0.
The odds for Over 2.5 Goals are sitting at 1.40, which looks like a solid punt given the form and the H2H history. We’re not here to guess; we’re here to back the graft and the goals. Kári at home don’t play for a 0-0 draw, and Selfoss have the quality to join the party. With both teams scoring trends improving and goal expectancy pointing towards a shootout, the doors are wide open.
Key Points:
- Kári average 3.25 goals scored and 0.50 conceded at home.
- Selfoss average 2.00 goals scored and 1.40 conceded away.
- H2H features 3 of 5 matches going Over 2.5 Goals.
- Goal expectancy points to a 3.58 total.
Summary: With Kári's home scoring rate and Selfoss's away threat, the data heavily points towards a high-scoring encounter. We're taking the Over 2.5 Goals at 1.40.
