The trend is a good one for Diyala, with two wins, two draws and a defeat from their last five games.

Diyala came away from Newroz with a 0-0 draw in an Iraqi League game on 24 October. They are scoring 1.3 goals a game and conceding 1.4 over their last nine matches. Five of those nine games saw both teams score, and four went over 2.5 goals.

Diyala sit 13th in the Iraqi League table on 13 points from 12 games, 14 points behind leaders Al-Karma.
