The force is strong with AZ Picerno at home, I tell you. Their record at this ground over 20 games — spanning 11 months — tells a story of steady resilience: 7 wins, 8 draws, 5 losses, with 1.4 goals scored per game and just 1.15 conceded. That is a solid foundation upon which to build a victory, even if the older results in that span dilute the picture of current form.
Cosenza, however, arrive with a heavy heart. Their last two matches — a 0–2 defeat to Foggia at home on 4 October and a 0–1 loss at Bari on 26 September — saw them score nothing and concede three. Over their last five games, they have won none, drawn two, and lost three, managing just 3 goals from the boot. Their away record over 20 games is 3 wins, 7 draws, 10 losses, with 0.95 goals scored and 1.65 conceded per game. A team that fails to score in three of five recent outings does not inspire confidence on the road, does it?
The head-to-head at this venue speaks plainly, though the sample is small. In April 2026, AZ Picerno beat Cosenza 3–1 here. The reverse fixture at Cosenza's ground saw a 1–0 Cosenza win in December 2025. Two meetings, two home wins — the pattern is clear, but two games is not a trend. I lean on the current form and the venue records instead.
Yet I must be wise and acknowledge the counter. AZ Picerno's own recent form is not the stuff of legends. Four losses in their last five games, including a 2–4 home defeat to Catania on 15 September and a 0–1 loss at Sorrento on 12 September. They have conceded 12 goals in those five matches and kept zero clean sheets. The 8 draws in their home record remind us that this ground does not guarantee three points. A team that has lost four of five is not one to be dismissed lightly.
Still, the weight of evidence leans toward the home side. Cosenza's scoring drought, their poor away record, and the head-to-head at this venue all point in one direction. AZ Picerno's home numbers — 1.4 goals scored, 1.15 conceded — sit comfortably above Cosenza's away figures. The market prices AZ Picerno's win at 1.9, implying a 52.63% chance. My reading of the form, the venue record, and the head-to-head suggests the home side's probability sits slightly above that figure, closer to the mid-fifties.
Key Points:
- AZ Picerno's home record: 7W 8D 5L in 20 games, 1.4 scored and 1.15 conceded per game
- Cosenza's away record: 3W 7D 10L in 20 games, 0.95 scored and 1.65 conceded per game
- Cosenza scored 0 in their last two matches and have won none of their last five
- Head-to-head at AZ Picerno's ground: 3–1 AZ Picerno win (April 2026)
- AZ Picerno's recent form is shaky: 1W 4L in last five, 12 goals conceded
The wise choice, in the end, is to trust the home record and the visitor's drought. I place my bet on the AZ Picerno home win.
