Match preview
Denmark2. Division
Right, so we've got Skive hosting FA 2000 in the 2. Division on 17 October, and let me tell you, the form gap here is something you can smell from the braai pit.
FA 2000 have not won a single game in their last 10 matches — zero wins, four draws, six losses. In their last five, they've lost four, including a 5–1 defeat at Roskilde and a 3–1 loss at Nykobing FC. Away from home, their last three trips have all ended in defeat. Over 20 away games they've scored just 0.65 goals per game, and in their last five matches they've conceded 12. That is a team that is struggling, braaai.
Skive, on the other hand, have been draw-heavy at home. In their last three home games they've won 2–0 against HIK, won 2–1 against B 93, and drawn 0–0 with Middelfart. Over 20 home games, they've picked up 4 wins, 9 draws and 7 losses, scoring 1.1 goals per game. They're not dominant, but they're not falling apart either. In their last 10 matches across all venues, they've won 3, drawn 2 and lost 5, which is a world away from FA 2000's 0–4–6.
The head-to-head is mostly historical — the meetings span back to 2021, and the only recent meeting within the last 12 months was a 2–2 draw at FA 2000's ground on 5 September. So we can't lean on that for much. The older games at Skive's ground show Skive winning 3–2 and drawing 2–2, but those are two and three years old and don't tell us much about what's happening now.
Now, the counter-argument: Skive did lose 0–3 at Roskilde just seven days before this kickoff, and their home record is heavy on draws — 9 out of 20. They've also failed to score in 3 of their last 5 games. FA 2000 did manage a 1–1 draw at home against Naestved on 10 October, so they're not completely dead. And the raw win rates over 20 games are actually similar: Skive 4 wins at home, FA 2000 5 wins away. The form, though, is the story here, and that story is very one-sided.
Key Points:
My verdict: Skive home win at 1.88.
